The bio-degradable polyester rubber is the original rubber variety of our school. The Advanced Elastomer Material Research Center began to carry out relevant research work in 2003. It has been involved in the key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the 13th Five-Year Key R&D Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China Funded by the Foundation Science Center Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, with the strong support of Tongcheng New Materials Co., Ltd. and other well-known companies at home and abroad, nearly 20 years of continuous research, the first use of molecular structure design to develop non-crystalline, cross-linkable The bio-based polyester rubber material has broken through the technical problems of continuous production of high molecular weight polyester rubber, and completed the continuous pilot test of 1,000 tons. Biodegradable polyester rubber has important application prospects and social benefits in the fields of low-temperature and oil-resistant sealing rings, degradable tires, and degradable shoes. A variety of bio-based biodegradable polyester rubber products independently developed by our school were displayed on site, which was fully recognized by experts.
